An event for families and their cyclists, in association with the Bruton Festival of Arts 2019. Come and have a summer spin on some quiet back roads! Plus, ride along with and meet 2016 Paralympic Triathlon Gold Medallist Andy Lewis. BBQ, music and licensed bar to aid recovery. Start and finish on the Brewham Road, opposite the Vineyard.
We will have three routes, one each for:
· Kids (6km / 12km starting 11:30)
· Families and occasional riders (36km /1½-2 hours Starting 10:30-11:00)
· More experienced cyclists (105km / 4½-5 hours Starting 08:00)
The routes will be signed, and at major junctions also marshalled. There will be a feed/water station on Bullbarrow Hill on the 105km route, and we’ll have medical and bike mechanic services supporting the riders at the event site and out on the road.
We aim to get everyone back by around midday in time to enjoy a BBQ lunch, some music and maybe a glass of locally produced cider.
Bruton Cycling Club (BCC) is a small but active group. We’re looking to encourage cycling and raise some money for the Town.
Please come along and have fun! An exclusive BCC neck warmer will be awarded to all finishers, whatever their distance or age.
Entry £30/adults, £35 families, all entries via British Cycling Website;
