Meet from 8.45am at Burnt Honey, Pither’s Yard Castle Cary for caffeine loading, 9am depart. Down the main road to Sparkford, back lanes to Mudford, Trent, Bradford Abbas, onto Chetnole, Leigh and Lions Gate - then full gas down to Dorchester. Refuel at Finca Poundbury before the inevitable but delightful return up the Piddle Valley, through Longburton and Sherborne to Poyntington, Corton Denham, the Cadburys and back to Cary.
