A first for BCC - a Saturday gravel ride… There will also be a standard road ride posted for this date.

This is 30 miles of relatively straight forward off road riding taking in Stourhead and Longleat areas and south towards and over Mere Down. Some stunning views and lots of fun to be had along the way. 3 of us have already recce’d the route. You WILL need a gravel or mountain bike, with minimum 38mm knobbly tyres, some food supplies, water bottles and reasonable bike handling skills.

Cafe stop at Shearwater Lake cafe just under half way.

MEET point on the road out of Penselwood (see GPX attached) where there are various lay-bys to park in, or cycle out of Bruton coming up Kingsettle or via Hunter’s Lodge to join the start for 9am.
