Somerset 100 2018

A warm day in the saddle for this years Somerset 100 - 4 mighty BCC riders headed off, at what was meant to be steady. But Mr C was leading so the pace just kept stepping up and up. We were in a good place at the first feed station, then pressed on towards Evercreech and the hills of the Mendips. Mr B opted to take things at his own pace from here on, while Mr T and Dr L tried to remain at least in sight of Mr C - which was hard work, but worth it once back on the levels beyond Wells. Dr L pretty much fell off her bike having completed her first 100 miler in under 5hrs 50, and refused to move from the floor until Mr T had brought her food and drink. All 4 enjoyed the sustenance at Sweets Tea room and especially the ice creams. Already looking forward to next year.
