Somerset 100 (Slow Down Mr W!)
8 fearless BCC members took on the Somerset 100 from Sweets Tea Rooms. The usual bun fight on the first few miles saw the BCC peloton split up. Six managed to get together and the other two unfortunately rode the event solo. The first half of the route is relatively flat and (as predicted by Mr AH) the 6 stormed along at a high average speed. Mr W and Mr T were particularly strong at the front. Mr M forget to eat his porridge before leaving the house causing his knee to mount a one joint protest in Nunney. Immense pain caused him to retire at the 70 mile marker. All the rest finished the event in very respectable times and had a most enjoyable day.. Well done to Mr B and Mr L for being much more sensible and completing the ride in a respectable time. Excellent effort all.
