Let the Sunday Training Begin
The thought of Summer sun was firmly locked away as we started the 2020 Sunday winter miles club. A band of 4 (Mr T, Dr L, Mr TW and Mr GA) were eager to get going and rack up some miles and inch closer to the summer targets. Fuelled by the fallout of festive indulgences, bellies full of wine and cheese, and noses full of snot were not about to deter us. Off we sped, Druley, Maiden Bradley, Sutton Veny, then a blast down the Wyle valley where Mr T took the brunt of the lead, with the rest keen to offer moral support. Coffee Darling provided a welcome rest for some very freckled guests, and after food and coffees we let Mr A guide us back with vigour. New lanes were found and eventually Mere beckoned and homeward bounders followed. 70+ miles were harder than it should have been and that’s the way it goes sometimes, but a great ride for all. Holidays are for holidaying, colds are annoying, but it was good to get out and great to find new routes, you have been warned!!
