Baltic Breeze Bank Holiday
Bit different from Easter, but chapeau to those who donned bib shorts over this chilly weekend. A good crowd gathered at On The Brook 8.30am on Saturday, for a very social coffee pause before 7 rode down to Sherborne, taking in some less travelled back lanes. Graham and Sam were on top form at Bean Shot, and the fridge was rapidly emptied of cakes from their new supplier. More gentle lanes back to Bruton, into a rather biting northerly wind. Various Mighty BCCers made it out on Sunday; Mr JG and Mr AO headed to Quiddles on Portland, Mr W and Dr L looped over to High Ham, and Mr SE trundled up Alfreds Tower to name but a few. Then Monday and Mr C and Mr RS checked out some of the lanes for next week’s sportive, including Bulbarrow (yes it’s still there), while Mrs HW, Mr PT, SEsc and DB visited Hillbrush where cider was imbibed with breakfast! So all very very social, good miles, dry lanes, just someone turn the temperature up now Please!
